about

Surrender the Heart is a(n un-)Valentine's Day song about love and its power to transform and rearrange your insides. Steal Your Voice is a ballad to all the people whose freedom has been stolen away—by human trafficking, totalitarianism, and all the many other ways evil people steal human life and liberty. Beams Like Lace is about NYC, that metal place of anger and strangled beauty. Pyre is a love song to the healing and cathartic power of the woods.

This EP is an act of resistance against fascism and hate, and the deadly prejudices that attend them. I began writing these tracks in December 2016 and it was a constant struggle against emotional exhaustion and feelings of powerlessness. I dedicate these songs to all artists who cling to their voices and share their work.
